Main Skills

Flash

The main program I use day to day is Flash to build learning objects and interactive materials. In my personal time I enjoy animation.One aspect of flash I intend to investigate further are the new options CS3 has opened up for Video in Flash.

Video

I have completed many video projects, using a mix of premiere and final cut with video footage taken from DV cameras to YouTube videos. I'm looking to become more proficient with use of effects in video to further my options in editing video.

Photoshop

I'm an experienced Photoshop user; I use it for illustrations, diagrams, digital photography and photo manipulation. Along with flash it is probably the program I am most proficient in using.

Other skills

Design

Designing websites, my own and www.zesst.co.uk, Flyers, Business cards and interactive revolving image displays for businesses. With a very good understanding of using Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Flash With my main areas being the use of Photoshop and Illustrator.

Creativity

Through my love of Art and design I have many creative qualities with an A* in graphics GCSE's and B at Art A-level.

Team Work

Demonstrated in various team sports, as well as through group-work assignments as University, especially the latest project in making a 5 person design company where we are working extremely well and highly organised.

Leadership

Through sports teams and group work I take a commanding role, setting good examples and expecting the commitment from myself that I expect from my team and more, while also being open minded and eager to seek others opinions. Working as a head councilor at an American summer camp I also showed initiative, fair and supporting leadership qualities.

Communication

I have a confident and mature approach to presenting/speaking to a group of people. I've done a lot of presentations for A-level and more recently a Telematic Performance in front of my whole course. Also through sports, university group work, Door to Door sales and Call centre work I have improved my communication skills to fit many environments.

Responsibility

In all my jobs i've been seen as responsible and have been allowed to undertake extra work tasks like help newly trained typists at royal mail to improve their standard. Also while working at the American summer camp I volunteered to chaperone for trips on my days off and took on a great deal of responsibly looking after 25 8 year olds.

Programming

Can use client and server side code, for website design and application development. HTML, ASP and beginning to use Java.

Audio data editing

Able to use Audio software to edit and optimize digital and analogue audio data with software like Sound forge and Audacity and mix and manipulate audio for any design purpose.

Interests and Activities:

My main interests are art and design. I love to draw and sketch. I am greatly interested in the film and computer games industries, with an ultimate goal of working within them as a concept artist. I'm very keen on sport, having played football all my life and ice hockey for the Plymouth panthers. I play pool and really enjoy paintballing. An ambition of mine is to travel and gain experience and awareness of other design styles from all around the world.
